Approved Ordinances for the Te-Moak Tribe of Western Shoshone

SOUTH FORK LAND USAGE ORDINANCE
To allow the South Fork Band Council to levy a usage fee on their Tribal members for the privilege of utilizing their tribal lands as their own lively hood on the South Fork Reservation.
2. AUTHORITY TO REGULATE LAND USE FEES:
The Tribal Council under Article 4, Section 3, (h) (n), of the Constitution, have the power to delegate these powers to the Band Council's pursuant to Article 4, Section 12, (g).
Fees shall be set by Band Council Resolution as Article 4, Section l2, (b), state that these powers may be delegate to the Band Councils'. These fees shall be set at $100.00 per assignment and will continue to be in effect until the Band Council Te-Moak Council may see the need to revise.
Upon passage of this ordinance the first year, 1986, fees shall be due and payable on the 1st of April, 1986, thereafter fees will be due on or before the 1st of January, 1987.
The Te-Moak Tribal Council will retain the right to rescind the delegated powers under Article 4, Section 3, (e), of the constitution of the Te-Moak Bands.
For failing to adhere to this ordinance, person (s) or corporations or any other entity doing business on the South Fork Reservations may be fined up to five hundred dollars ($500.00) or a period not to exceed six (6) months incarceration, by the Tribal Judge in charge.
I, the undersigned, as Chairperson of the Tribal Council of Te-Moak Tribe of Western Shoshone Indians of Nevada do hereby certify that the Te-Moak Western Shoshone Council is composed of 9 members of whom 9 constituting a quorum were present at a duly held meeting on the 7th day of March, 1986, and that the foregoing ordinance was duly adopted at such meeting by a affirmative vote for 8 FOR, 0 AGAINST, 0 ABSTENTIONS, pursuant to the authority contained under Article 4, Section 3 (n) of the Constitution of the Te-Moak Tribe of Western Shoshone Indians of Nevada, and that said ordinance has not been rescinded nor amended in any form.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE TRIBAL COUNCIL OF THE WESTERN SHOSHONE INDIANS OF NEVADA:
That in accordance with Article 10, Section 2 and 3, of the constitution of the Te-Moak Tribe, as amended on August 26, 1982, and organized under the Indian Reorganization act of June 18, 1934 (48 STAT. 984), that this Ordinance to be known as the "South Fork land Usage Ordinance".
