In addition to, or in lieu of, a penalty or forfeiture provided for violation of a tribal ordinance, the Court may order any defendant found to have violated a tribal ordinance to perform community service a specified nature and duration. The number of hours of community service ordered by the court may not exceed the maximum penalty or forfeiture provided for the violation divided by the current federal minimum wage.Bad River Band of the Lake Superior Chippewa Indians Tribal Code.
