(a) A witness examined about a prior statement made by him or her need not be shown the statement during the examination, but the statement shall be shown to opposing counsel upon completion of that part of the examination. (b) Extrinsic evidence of a witness's prior inconsistent statement is admissible only if the witness was examined so as to give him or her an opportunity to explain or deny the statement, or as the interests of justice require.Bad River Band of the Lake Superior Chippewa Indians Tribal Code.
