The purpose behind the creation of a Tribal Repatriation Committee is to appoint a body of individuals to directly engage in activities designed to locate, inventory and repatriate human remains, funerary objects, sacred objects and objects of cultural patrimony which should rightfully be repatriated to the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Tribe of Chippewa Indians and which are currently being held in museums, educational institutions, and other agencies, offices or locations.Bad River Band of the Lake Superior Chippewa Indians Tribal Code.
