The purpose of this ordinance is to help provide employment for tribal members living on or near the reservation who may have skills as laborers, heavy machine operators or in other construction areas. Often times there are contracts given out for road, bridge and other types of construction in this area. The idea is to allow for our members participate in such jobs to enable them to be employed and to instill pride in their work on or near the reservation.Bad River Band of the Lake Superior Chippewa Indians Tribal Code.
