The Court will not exercise jurisdiction under this chapter where the child is lawfully under the jurisdiction of another court, unless the other court transfers jurisdiction, or unless, where the other court is a Wisconsin circuit court and has adopted the Wisconsin Tribal/State Court Protocol for the Judicial Allocation of Jurisdiction, the Tribal Court determines to exercise jurisdiction pursuant to the standards and procedures of the Protocol.Lac Courte Oreilles Tribal Code of Law.
