In any divorce or separation proceeding, the Court shall presume that an equal division of the marital estate between the parties, taking into account the debts assumed by each and the property awarded to each, is consistent with the policy stated in subsec. (a) and with fairness and equity to the parties. The Court may deviate from this presumption for good cause.Lac Courte Oreilles Tribal Code of Law.
