Article 1 Purpose and Authority

(a) Name. The name of this entity shall be Ella Besaw Community Advisory Committee ("Committee") for the Stockbridge-Munsee Community ("Tribe").

(b) Purpose. The primary purpose of this Committee is to provide community input on the Tribe's Ella Besaw Center, which is a Wisconsin licensed community based residential facility (CBRF), and community long-term care needs.

(c) Authority. This entity was established under Tribal Resolution #013-25 on January 7, 2025. To the extent any provision in these By-Laws conflicts with a tribal ordinance, the terms of the ordinance shall govern, unless otherwise determined by the Tribal Council.

(d) Communication to Committee. Communications to the Committee should be sent to the Committee's attention and submitted to the Tribal Secretary.
