Stockbridge-Munsee Tribal Code

Section ENV.02.17 — Denial Or Revocation Of Permit(s), Contracts, Amendments, or Contract Extensions

(a) The Tribe will deny requests for permits, contracts, amendments, or contract extensions for any of the following reasons:

(1) Any delinquent debt owed to the Tribe based on noncompliance with timber contracts or requirements under the Environment (ENV) Title of the Stockbridge-Munsee Tribal Code.

(b) The Tribe may deny requests for permits, contracts, amendments or contract extensions for any of the following reasons:

(1) poor past logging practices

(2) timber trespass(es)

(3) past violations, misuse of process, procedures, or permits

(4) proposal denied under the Tribe's land impact review process

(5) requests inconsistent with the Tribe's forest management plan

(c) The Tribe reserves the option to revoke a permit for the reasons identified in this Section if the permit holder does not correct the identified issue after being provided a reasonable opportunity to cure it.
