25.1.1.020 Authority of the Commission

The Commission shall have the authority to enforce the provision of this Title and to issue appropriate changes, additions and deletions of this Tittle governing Traffic Safety, subject to approval of the Tribal Council.

The Commission may appoint any Judge of the Tribal Court, as a hearing officer and any hearing for violation of any provision of the San Ildefonso Pueblo Traffic Safety Code, upon filing of an appropriate citation by a Law Enforcement Officer, shall be an administrative hearing following the Rules of Criminal Procedure. A finding that a traffic safety violation has occurred would be an administrative violation and would not be deemed a conviction of a crime.
