25.1.4.010 Accidents Involving Death or Personal Injuries

(a) The driver of any vehicle involved in an accident resulting in injury to or death of any person shall immediately stop such vehicle at the scene of such accident or as close thereto as possible but shall then forthwith return to and in every event shall remain at the scene of the accident until he has fulfilled these requirements. Every such stop shall be made without obstructing traffic more than is necessary.

(b) Any person failing to stop y or to comply with said requirements under such circumstances shall be guilty of a violation and upon conviction may be subject to pay a penalty assessment not to exceed $500.00 or such other orders of the Court.

(c) The Judge may suspend the license or permit to drive any nonresident operating privilege of the person so convicted notify the State Department of Motor Vehicles.
