Any person who shall, because of habitual intemperance or gambling or for any other reason, refuse, fail, or neglect to furnish food, shelter, or care to those dependent upon him, including any children born out of wedlock, shall be deemed guilty of the offense and upon conviction thereof, shall be sentenced to confinement for a period not to exceed six (6) months or to pay a fine not to exceed $300.00 or both, with costs.Pueblo de San Ildefonso Code.
