Criminal cases shall be tried by the Court unless the defendant demands a jury trial. Any defendant charged with a criminal offense under this Code which could result, by law or custom, in punishment by confinement is entitled to a jury trial on demand. The demand may be made orally at the preliminary hearing or arraignment or by written application to the court three (3) days thereafter.Pueblo de San Ildefonso Code.
