The Tribal Court shall have the power to issue a summons, on behalf of the prosecution or defense, to any person within its jurisdiction to compel their presence in court as a witness. The commons must contain the reason for summoning the person and the number of days the person will be required to be present. If the witness is summoned to attend and testify, he shall be allowed mileage and stipend as provided in the Turtle Mountain Tribal Court Rules of Court.Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians Tribal Code.
