13.07.010 Qualifications. Tribal Council

To become a candidate for an elected position, a person must:

(a) Be an enrolled member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians; and

(b) Be twenty-five (25) years of age or older; and

(c) Have not been convicted of a felony; and

(d) Have not been convicted of a misdemeanor of fraud, embezzlement, forgery or theft of monies entrusted to the Tribal Government; and

(e) Must reside within Rolette County; and

(f) Shall furnish written proof for all requirements. In addition, candidates for District Representatives must reside in the district they seek to represent.
