A person commits the offense of failure to protect if having legal care or custody of a child under the age of eighteen (18), the person intentionally or knowingly allows another person to inflict serious bodily injury on the minor, allows another to commit sexual abuse of a minor, allows another to prostitute the minor or allows a child to be used in the production of pornographic material. Failure to protect is a Class 4 offense.Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians Tribal Code.
