29.01.130 Records of the Tribal Secretary/Treasurer

(a) All records required or allowed to be maintained by the Tribal Secretary/Treasurer are Tribal Government records and shall be public records.

(b) Removing, tampering with, or destroying any record in a hard or electronic copy to thwart the purpose of this Act shall be unlawful and punishable to a term of imprisonment of one (1) day and up to but not to exceed one (1) year or a fine minimum of one hundred dollars ($100) and not to exceed five thousand dollars ($5,000) or both, enforceable by the BIA Tribal Law Enforcement, the Turtle Mountain Tribal Law Enforcement, and the Tribal Court.
