This Policy encourages settlement of a proceeding at any time as long as the settlement is consistent with the provisions and objectives of Tribal Laws and Code(s). If the violator believes that it is not liable or that the circumstances of its case justify mitigation of the penalty proposed in the administrative or civil action, they may request a settlement conference in accordance with such provisions in the SHWMC.Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians Tribal Code.
