42.13.040 Sex Offender

A sex offender is:

(a) A person who has been convicted or found not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect in any other state, in a Federal, Tribal, State, or Military court or in any foreign jurisdiction, of any crime, the essential elements of which are substantially the same as any of the crimes, and which requires registration as a sexual offender in such other state or in the federal, tribal, state, or military system, and who resides or visits the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indian Reservation on and after 11/10/10;

(b) Has been convicted or found not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect of any one or more of the following offenses as defined:

(1) Statutes

(2) a criminal offense against a victim who is a minor;

(3) a nonviolent sexual offense,

(4) a sexually violent offense, or

(5) any felony that the court finds was committed for a sexual purpose

(c) Has been convicted or found guilty of any one or more of the following offenses as defined:

(1) Statutes

(A) a criminal offense against a victim,

(B) a nonviolent sexual offense,

(C) a sexually violent offense, or

(D) any felony that the court finds was committed for a sexual purpose

All offenders who were convicted for a sex crime or sex related crime will follow all regulations rules within this title - Turtle Mountain Sex Offender Registration Code.
