5.01.030 Rights and Responsibilities

The rights and responsibilities of the natural parent(s) of a child in foster care or in the custody of another person, agency or institution are:

(a) The right to visitation subject to the Court's modifications in a court order.

(b) The right to consent to, be informed of, and be involved in determining the medical needs of the child.

(c) The right to choose the child's religion.

(d) The right to be involved in planning for the child.

(e) The right to voluntarily relinquish parental rights in order to free the child for adoption.

(f) The right to privacy.

(g) The right and responsibility to assistance and support in obtaining appropriate resources to improve the family's functioning in aiding the return of the child to the family.
