5.02.230 Standards for Shelter Care and Detention Facilities

(a) Rules and regulations. The Chief Tribal Judge shall adopt written rules and regulations governing the operation of detention and shelter care facilities. The Chief Tribal Judge may assign the responsibility to another qualified tribal agency.

(b) Content of rules and regulations. The rules and regulations shall include but are not limited to the following:

(1) Cleanliness standards

(2) Heat, water, and light standards

(3) Personnel standards

(4) Visiting privileges

(5) Occupancy standards

(6) provisions for medical and dental care

(7) Provisions for food, clothing, and other personal items
