9.02.110 Support of Child; Education

The parent entitled to the custody of a child must give it support and education suitable to his circumstances. If the support and education which the father of the child is able to give are inadequate, the mother must assist him to the extent of her ability.

If a husband or wife receives into his or her family and supports the children of their spouse by a former husband or wife, it is presumed he or she does so as a parent and where such is the case the children are not liable to the parent for their support, nor the parent to them for their services.
