Where the paternity of a child has been decided by the Tribal Court, or by acknowledgment in writing by the father, and the support of the child is provided by a person or persons other than the mother, the father shall be primarily liable to such persons for the support of the child, and the mother shall be secondarily liable.Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians Tribal Code.
