Constitution and ByLaws of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians North Dakota

Section 3.

If the Superintendent disapproves any resolution or ordinance, he shall within ten (10) days after its receipt by him advise the Tribal Council of his reasons therefore, and if these reasons appear to the Council insufficient, it may, by vote of the five (5) members, refer the resolution or ordinance to the Secretary of the Interior, and if approved by him in writing, it shall become effective.
