22.11.040 Ex Parte Consultations

Unless required for the dispositions of ex parte matters authorized by law, no Hearing Officer, after receipt of a petition from an aggrieved person, shall communicate with any party or their representative in connection with any issue of fact or law in such case except upon notice and opportunity for all parties to participate. Upon receipt of a communication knowingly made or knowingly caused to be made by a party in violation of this section, the Hearing Officer may, to the extent consistent with the interests of justice and the policy of the underlying laws, require the party to show cause why their claim or interest in the proceeding should not be dismissed, denied, disregarded or otherwise adversely affected as a result of such violation.
