26.13.040 Kidnapping

(a) It shall be unlawful and a Class [5] five offense for any person who has abducted or abducts another person, continues to restrain with intent to do the following:

(1) hold him for ransom or reward;

(2) use him as a shield or hostage;

(3) hold him in a condition of involuntary servitude;

(4) terrorize him or a third person;

(5) commit a felony or attempt to commit a felony; or

(6) interfere with the performance of any governmental or political function, is guilty of kidnapping.
