26.14.110 Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle

(a) It shall be unlawful to, with the intent to deprive the owner by taking, driving or operating another's motor vehicle, motorcycle or wheeled conveyance without the consent of the owner and shall be a Class [4] four offense.

(b) If the vehicle sustains damages while in the custody, possession, or under the control of the person violating this section, the violator shall be required to make restitution of the amount of the actual damage to the vehicle.
