The Implementation Project is a joint initiative of the Native American Rights Fund and Colorado Law to advance education and advocacy regarding the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.
The Implementation Project will be hosting a Preparatory Meeting for the upcoming UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues’ Annual Session (UNPFII) on March 31, 2026 from 12:00-1:30 PM (Mountain Daylight Time).
Speakers:
- Brenda Gunn, Member, UNPFII;
- Mirian Masaquiza, Indigenous Peoples and Development Branch, UN DESA; and
- Lea Nicholas-MacKenzie, Member, UNPFII.
Moderated by TIP Co-Directors: Kristen Carpenter and Sue Noe.
The online event will include a substantive overview and practical tips regarding engagement with the UNPFII. All are welcome, whether you plan to attend the UNPFII session in person or are interested in learning more.
TIP Quarterlies were created to build community, provide updates, and prepare for upcoming engagements in Tribal, federal, and international venues. The Zoom link and calendar invite will be sent to those who register. All are welcome to drop in as schedules permit.
