Andrew Druart joined the Native American Rights Fund (NARF) after serving as a summer law clerk in 2025, where he worked on Indian Country jurisdiction, assisted the Indigenous Peacemaking Initiative, and documented Tribal water codes. He also supported work involving statutory interpretation, the Endangered Species Act, and the National Indian Forest Resources Management Act. During law school at the University of Michigan, Andrew served as a research assistant for Professor Emily Prifogle’s Family Law course, helping incorporate Tribal court cases and expand course materials on the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) and Tribal jurisdiction. He also participated in an Indian Law Workshop focused on federal Indian law, cultural property, natural resource protection, and other issues affecting Tribal Nations.

As a member of the Chickasaw Nation, Andrew is committed to protecting Tribal sovereignty, water rights, and the natural resources that sustain Indigenous communities. His experiences studying federal Indian law and learning about the cultural, environmental, and economic importance of water have strengthened his dedication to ensuring Tribal Nations can protect their lands and resources for future generations. Guided by the Seven Generations Principle, Andrew believes the decisions made today should create a strong foundation for the generations to come.

Outside of work, Andrew enjoys playing and watching soccer, following Michigan Wolverines sports, hiking, watching movies, and learning about history.
