Dylan Rain Tree, 2017 NARF Summer Law ClerkAt NARF, we are dedicated to supporting the next generation of Indian law lawyers, and one way we do this is through our Law Clerk Program.  This week we’re highlighting Dylan Rain Tree, a law clerk in our Boulder, CO, office.

Dylan Rain Tree is Mono, Choinumni, and Pomo from Fresno, California. He is entering his third year at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, Arizona State University. Last summer, Dylan worked in the Office of the Prosecutor at the Gila River Indian Community drafting court briefs, researching questions of criminal law, and reviewing police reports for possible criminal charges. With the array of issues and possibilities that Tribal governments face, during his NARF clerkship, Dylan is eager to offer tribes as much legal assistance as he can and improve his legal skills. He plans to work in tribal government after law school. During his free time, Dylan likes to try out ideas that might help or encourage other Native Americans pursuing their dreams. Towards that end, he has produced a map and a contact list of Native American student undergraduate organizations, posted YouTube videos about his law school experience, and volunteered as a mentor. He has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Public Administration from American University.

Welcome, Dylan!
