Sapphire Carter: Sapphire is a Chippewa-Cree Tribal Member from the Rocky Boy’s Reservation in Montana and a rising third-year law student at the University of Montana School of Law. She clerked in the Boulder office this summer and is particularly interested in water rights, voting rights, cultural property, and environmental law. She is also this years Siletz Winner!
Arman Entezar: Arman is a member of the Coeur d’Alene Tribe and grew up and lives in northern Idaho. He is a rising third-year law student at the University of Idaho and is greatly interested in a variety of areas within Indian Law, particularly water law and Tribal economic development. Arman worked in our Boulder office this summer.
Caleb Hawpetoss: Caleb is a rising third-year law student at the University of Michigan, a first-generation descendant of the Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin, and grew up in Green Bay. He will be working out of the D.C. office this summer and is interested in cultural property, language and religious preservation, and criminal justice reform efforts in tribal courts.
Weston Jones: Weston is a member of the Wagluhe Band of Oglala Lakota from Thunder Valley, South Dakota. He is a third-year law student at Mitchell Hamline School of Law. He draw inspiration from my ancestors, Chief Bluehorse and Chief Smoke, who were delegates for the Lakota people regarding the Treaty of Fort Laramie. Weston is interested in Traditional Knowledge, cultural property, environmental law, traditional Tribal law, and landback movements. Also, he just started golfing !
Aine Lawlor: Aine is a rising third-year law student and Graton Scholar at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She is originally from Helena, Montana and graduated in 2021 from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine with a BA in Government and Legal Studies, focusing on Indigenous rights in international law, and a minor in creative writing.
Sydney Story: Sydney is a Native Hawaiian from the island of O’ahu. She is a rising third-year law student at the University of Hawai’i and interested in NAGPRA, land preservation, and water law. She will be working in our Boulder office this summer!
Makai Zuniga: Makai is a Numu (Northern Paiute) citizen of the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony, born and raised in Reno, Nevada. He is a third-year law student at The William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV and will be working out of the Anchorage office this summer. Makai is interested in how NARF supports and uplifts Alaskan relatives.
