Christian Skunk (CO Office): Christian chose to pursue a summer clerkship with NARF because of the organization’s longstanding commitment to protecting Tribal sovereignty and advancing the rights of Tribal Nations. His legal interests include Tribal sovereignty, natural resources, water law, environmental law, and Tribal governance. After earning his Juris Doctor, he hopes to continue serving Tribal Nations through Indian law and public policy.
Christian is honored to serve as a Summer Law Clerk is grateful to NARF and the Siletz Charitable Contribution Fund for the opportunity to contribute to NARF’s work on behalf of Indian Country.
Breanne Harvey (CO Office): Breanne Harvey is a third-year law student at the University of Arizona’s James E. Rogers College of Law and a member of the Diné and Salish & Kootenai peoples. Her work focuses on Tribal water rights, Tribal sovereignty and supporting Native law students through leadership roles at the local and national levels. NARF is proud to welcome Breanne as part of this year’s law clerk class.
Michelle Howard (DC Office): Michelle Howard is a third-year law student and Root-Tilden-Kern Public Interest Scholar at NYU Law. Originally from Tucson, Arizona, with deep ties to Durango, Mexico, Michelle is passionate about federal Indian Law, Tribal sovereignty, environmental justice, and natural resource protection. NARF is excited to support her commitment to advance Native rights through public interest advocacy.
Damon Clark (CO Office): Damon J. Clark (Diné) is a J.D./M.B.A. candidate at the University of Arizona and serves as national president of the National Native American Law Students Association. We are excited to have him on our team this summer and look forward to the contributions he will make in support of Tribal sovereignty and Native rights.
Erica Mendez (AK Office): Erica Mendez is a third-year law student at the University of Wisconsin Law School, a member of the Quinault Indian Nation, and a summer law clerk at NARF. Erica brings experience in Tribal advocacy through the Native Nations Clinic, the Immigrant Justice Clinic and the California Indian Law Association. She is committed to advancing Tribal sovereignty and plans to continue serving Tribal Nations through a career in Indian law after graduating next spring.
Stephanie Brown (CO Office): Stephanie Brown is a rising third-year law student at Stanford Law School and a citizen of the Cherokee Nation. With a background in urban planning, land use, and public sector strategy, she is focused on federal Indian law and Tribal land rights.
David Song (DC Office): David Song is a third-year law student at the University of Washington School of Law and a 2027 Law Clerk in our Alaska office. With experience as a legislative aide in the AK State House, David is committed to advancing Tribal sovereignty, protecting Indigenous cultural resources and preserving Tribal subsistence rights. David serves on the UW Native American Law Students Association executive board and is a member of the Washington Law Review editorial staff. Welcome, David!
