Yesterday, NARF Staff Attorney Steve Moore testified at a United States Senate Committee on Indian Affairs oversight hearing on “Addressing the Needs of Native communities Through Indian Water Rights Settlements.” NARF has extensive experience with tribal water rights cases; we have successfully negotiated nine tribal water rights cases that have resulted in settlements approved by Congress and we currently represents five tribes on their water rights claims in various stages of litigation or settlement: the Klamath Tribes in Oregon, the Tule River Tribe in California, the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians in California, the Kickapoo Tribe in Kansas, and the Nez Perce Tribe in Idaho.
