For those of you in the Boulder, CO, area on Wednesday, November 2, please join the Civil Litigation Section of the Boulder County Bar Association for their monthly CLE presented by NARF Staff Attorneys Brett Shelton, Heather Whiteman Runs Him, and Matthew Campbell.
Brett Shelton, Heather Whiteman Runs Him, and Matthew Campbell, attorneys in the Boulder office of the Native American Rights Fund, will speak about the timely Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL) issue, lending some insight into several particularly complicated areas of Indian law.
The NARF attorneys will explain how issues of sovereignty, natural resources, and human rights are all at play, and will explain the role that NARF has undertaken in this fight. They will further address the roles that civil litigators and other attorneys can play in supporting not only institutions like NARF but also Native American rights in general in a particularly turbulent time.
