The Coachella Valley Aquifer is a precious and finite resources that can be adversely impacted by ongoing pollution and depletion. The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuila Indians have fought for decades to improve management of the resource.

South Dakota Voter Registration (Rosebud Sioux Tribe v. Barnett)

Native voters in South Dakota seek to enforce the National Voter Registration Act, which requires the state to provide voter registration opportunities.

Pembina Judgment Fund (Peltier v. Haaland)

In June 2021, the court gave final approval to a $59 million negotiated settlement over Pembina Chippewa Indian funds held in trust by the U.S. since 1964. Distribution of settlement funds began September 20, 2023.

Havasupai Education Rights (Stephen C. v. Bureau of Indian Education)

Havasupai Elementary School students sued the Bureau of Indian Education for failing to provide the required education at the school.
